What’s the number one concern people have when using secondary market apps for their sneakers? You’ll get a variety of answers from concerns about deliveries being stolen or about orders being canceled because someone didn’t ship their shoes on time. Although those are two very real, very important concerns, almost nothing tops, “I don’t want to get sold a fake pair of shoes.” While secondary markets play an important role in sneaker culture, they can be a source of frustration when a fake slips through the process. Authenticating is an important part of the market and something that can make or break a deal. Fakes are getting better and better every day and it’s getting harder for people to spot what is fake with a naked eye. Nobody wants to waste money or feel taken advantage of, so here at Tradeblock we want everyone educated on what to look for.
At Tradeblock, we have an in depth authentication process and we want to make sure our users have confidence in our app and our process. To strengthen this relationship, we are happy to announce that we will be hosting what we like to call Authenticon. At Authenticon, we will be hosting a workshop walking through the mechanics of authentication. At the event, attendees will learn what to look for on different types of shoes from the labels inside the shoe, to boxes the shoe comes in, to the materials on the shoes themselves. Transparency and understanding are the baseline to having strong customer relationships and Tradeblock values the confidence that our traders have in our app and process.
Authenticon will be hosted in Houston, TX on Wednesday 8/3. To reserve your spot and learn how to authenticate with us CLICK HERE.
